Hi, my name is Chelsea Kramer (she/her), and I became a Licensed therapist in Seattle, WA because I saw pain all around me in a world that’s tough to live in. I enrolled in a Master's program in Marriage and Family Therapy and started working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I was drawn to the MFT perspective because it challenges the typical pathological medical view of mental health. What we term ‘mental health’ actually has to do with the entirety of who you are, your brain, your nervous system, your body, your context, culture, and relationships. I’ve always been passionate about women’s health, feminism, and the way gender impacts how we experience the world.

I’ve dedicated my 13 year therapy career to helping individuals, couples, and families improve their lives in order to make social change. I have a passion for helping women and gender minorities be their best selves in a world that isn’t supportive of them. I’ve gotten advanced training on all things related to perinatal mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum and those dealing with infertility, miscarriage and loss. As a Health At Every Size® Provider (HAES) I promote the celebration of all bodies. I understand how the unique layers of gender identity, sexual identity, and having a body add to life experiences. Whether you are a talker, strong and silent, and whatever type of bad experience you've been through- I've got the tools and strategies that really work.

And, if what we do doesn't work, I'm going change it up or refer you out. My main concern is that you get the care you need and meet your therapeutic goals.

I am a proud member of the following professional organizations: Perinatal Support Washington, Resolve, Association for Reproductive Medicine, The Association for Size Diversity and Health, and The Menopause Society.

My specialty is individual therapy for women and gender minorities with specialties in grief, menopause, infertility, pregnancy loss, therapy for health issues, and medical trauma. Feel free to reach out with questions.

Why Choose Online Therapy?

The pandemic transformed people’s outlooks on how giving and receiving care can look. Online therapy is a great way to make services more accessible for people with limited time and limited mobility. Research has shown for years that online therapy is just as effective as in person therapy. In my practice, online therapy has led to client attendance being more consistent and thus clients have better outcomes. My clients are often dealing with jobs, kids, and medical conditions that limited their time and ability to travel, making online therapy a great option. I find being able to see client’s environments can help me know them on a deeper level. While working with clients, it’s not uncommon for me to meet them in the community if they’re experiencing a significant life event, such as a hospital stay. I’m proud to offer convenient, secure, and consistent care to my clients.
