What to expect from  your first consultation with a therapist in Seattle.

What to expect in the first session with a therapist in Seattle.

Most of the time your first session will be focused on getting to know you, what you’ve been struggling with, how you’ve tried addressing it, what’s worked, what hasn’t, and finding out more about you as a person. I like to learn about my clients as whole people because it can lead us to finding strengths and resources within their existing day to day life.

How long does someone work with a therapist in Seattle?

We know that the best outcomes for clients happen when they go to therapy weekly. I prefer to work with people weekly until they get to a confident place, then we often space out our appointments as we work towards termination and getting you back to your life. The length of treatment highly depends on the client, but an average would be six months to a year of treatment with weekly sessions.
